IndiGo flight hit by storm diverted to Srinagar after Pakistan denies airspace: IAF

An IndiGo flight from Delhi to Srinagar was forced to divert its route after Pakistan denied permission to enter its airspace amid severe turbulence caused by extreme weather. The aircraft, facing a violent storm and hail near Pathankot, had sought clearance from Lahore ATC as a precautionary diversion, but the request was refused under an ongoing NOTAM banning Indian aircraft. The Indian Air Force (IAF) confirmed it stepped in to assist, coordinating with Delhi ATC and ensuring safe navigation. The flight eventually landed safely in Srinagar with IAF guidance, which included vectoring and groundspeed support.
